"Say what?" Lindsey asked the smoochum in utter confusion, having only heard a bunch of kissing sounds coming from the pokémon. She remained blissfully ignorant of the chaos going on behind her.
Slugma reeled back as Mew slammed into him with quick attack. As he recovered, it suddenly dawned on him. "Hey, wait a minute!" he cried. "Mew can't learn quick attack! Just who are you, anyway?"

(Aren't you reading the RP in Pedro Do Gem with Duke? The challenger is using a Mew, and it used wing attack!)
(BTW, Mew is speaking in Pokespeak, so Lindsey wouldn't understand.)
Mew: ~I'm a Mew, silly! How do YOU know what attacks I can and can't do? It's Sasha over there who ain't normal!~*Mew jerked her thunb over her shoulder at the Gardevoir. Sasha wasn't paying attention to the 2 Pokemon, and she didn't hear what Mew said. If she did Mew would be regretting it right now...*

"How do I know?" Slugma asked. He narrowed his eyes, glancing left and right. " 'S classified," he muttered finally.
Meanwhile, Lindsey set the smoochum down on the ground. "I look funny?" she asked incredulously. "You're a little purple and yellow duck with big lips and bigger hair!"

Instead of feeling insulted, Smoochum fell to the ground, clutching her stomach from laughing so hard at the way Lindsey described her. What an odd Pokemon...

Slugma gave Mew another shifty look and rippled away, muttering to himself under his breath.
Lindsey looked slightly taken aback at the smoochum's reaction, then had to join in the merriment herself, giggling self-consciously.

*Mew darted after Slugma, appearing right in front of its face.*
Mew: Whatcha saying? I would like to know how you 'know' what moves I know! I won't tell anyone, not even Sasha!
Sasha: *recovering from her laughter* <What aren't you going to tell me??>
Mew: Why should I tell you? Just 'cause you're my traine--(it trails off. The 'e' of 'trainer' is barely audible) Woops!
Sasha: <We .. Have .. Gone .. Over .. This .. Too .. Often .. For .. You .. To .. Forget .. Now! You have better not forget again that you do not mention that I am your trainer when I am pretending to be a normal Pokemon!>

Slugma merely raised a nonexistant eyebrow. While the two psychics were engaged in arguing with one another, he edged over to Lindsey's side. She was still peering with interest at the smoochum.
"Return me," he muttered out of the corner of his mouth?
"Whuzzat?" Lindsey asked obliviously.
"Return me," Slugma repeated, a little louder.
"Sorry, I don't speak Slugma," Lindsey replied, looking bewildered.
Slugma surveyed the situation for a moment. Then he sighed and breathed a few embers at Lindsey's pant leg.
"Gah! Fire!" she shrieked. Fortunately, the minor fire attack was more than smothered by a quick stop, drop and roll--but a furious Lindsey was all too happy to recall Slugma afterwards anyway.
"What was that for?" she grumbled at the pokéball sitting innocently in her hand.

Smoochum suddenly stopped laughing as her eyes saw...something... She looked longingly at the Pokeball sitting in Lindsey's hand, and in a moment she was up on her feet and lunging into the air where she swiped an empty Pokeball off of Lindsey's belt. Immediately she started running away from Lindsey, laughing hysterically, in a playful game of tag.

"Really?" Lindsey asked. "I never would have guessed..."
She was distracted as the smoochum made off with her pokéballs. "Hey..." Lindsey stood there for a moment, perplexed. "Get back here!" She started off after the small pokémon, sure she would overtake it soon due to her considerably longer legs.

Seeing as how Lindsey was now chasing her, Smoochum ran a bit farther, and suddenly turned around. She pulled her arm back and threw the Pokeball at Lindsey, hitting her squarely in her head. With one last joyful laugh, Smoochum scampered off into the forest.

Rubbing her forehead, Lindsey bent down to pick up the ball. "That was a very odd Smoochum, I think..."
By that time dusk was creeping in, and Lindsey decided that there probably wouldn't be any better place to stop for the night. Sighing, she set about making camp.
