Lindsey on Route 1

((Right, it was always there, but I hadn't noticed it until it moved.))

Lindsey glanced uncertainly down at Slugma, as if for confirmation, but he merely gave her a blank look in response.

"Well, uh, sure," she said finally. "But are you going anywhere in particular? Because we're just sort of wandering around for a bit, so I suppose if you had somewhere in mind we could go there."

Sasha: <If I had somewhere to be I wouldn't be traveling around with a trainer! I have absolutely nothing to do at the moment.>

Mew: Very true, I am supprised she didn't find one earlier...

Sasha: <Har har, you know I don't travel with just anybody!>

"Well... all right, then," Lindsey said, still wary. "So, umm, let's get started, shall we?"

It took her a moment to get her bearings, but once she had figured out where Flare Town was she set off in what was more or less the general opposite direction. Slugma rippled along the ground behind her, watching over his shoulder the two psychic-types.

Mew: Uh, where are you headed? 'cause if you are going to the next town you are going in the totally wrong direction! _{Why did you choose her anyways?}

Sasha: (this is directed only at Mew, Lindsey can't, errr, hear it.) <Because I like the odd ones!>

Mew: _{I understand why, they must remind you of yourself...}

Sasha: (loosing her temper and talking in english) WHY YOU LITTLE!

Mew: *backing away* Woah, calm down. You know you really don't want to hurt me, right?

Sasha: <Don't be so sure about that!>

Mew: Uh-oh...

Lindsey stopped and turned back. "Next town?" she asked blankly. "Is there really such a 'next town?' I mean, the whole region is open to me. Is there any reason I should just head for the first gym right away?"

Her eyes bulged slightly as Sasha yelled at Mew for some reason. Confused, she just stood there for a moment. It was a bit odd already to hear only one-sided conversations between the two as Sasha conversed in telepathy, but this was getting plain weird. "Erm, coming?" she asked.

Sasha: <There is still usually a certain order that trainers go to them, but it isn't manditory.>

*Sasha glided along after Lindsey, and Mew followed, in the general direction everybody was going, poping off course to explore one place, then another.*

As the day wore on, Lindsey grew considerably tired of walking. Slugma, too, seemed to have no desire to continue his amaeobic movement across the plains.

"Say, guys, whaddaya say we find some place to camp for the night? It's not like we're going to make it to wherever it is we're going by the end of today."

Slugma sighed. It couldn't be later than five in the afternoon. Still, it was possible that some interesting pokémon would show up after dark.

((On a side note, is there any sort of map for the Motan region? I just have no clue where anything is in relationship to other stuffs.))

(I DID start making a map of the Motan Region in Paint..but it's not getting anywhere fast...the order of the boards is the order of the locations in the Motan Region if that helps..but like Sasha said, you can skip anywhere you want at alll and go right on to somewhere else if you want.)

After Lindsey suggested capping the day off, some kind of noise could be heard - it sounded like footsteps, advancing on the small group. They were moving quickly, through the grass. Nothing could be seen, until suddenly a pink blur jumped into the sky, and landed right on top of Lindsey's head. The still bright sunlight revealed it to be a Smoochum.

*Mew flew over to Smoochum*

Mew: Sooo, why did you jump on to her head?

Smoochum laughed and replied, "Smoo Smoochum!" (Because she looks funny!)

((Meh, I suppose I'll just wander at random, then. I'd just feel stupid if I ended up going to a town that was actually, like, three towns away.))

"Huh?" Lindsey asked, turning around to see who had thrown the whatever-it-was at her head. The smoochum swiveled with her. Confused as the unidentified object clung on determinedly, Lindsey shook her head vigorously.

The sight of the baby pokémon, however, freaked Slugma out. Evil lips of death! he thought hysterically. Without thinking, he sent a blast of glowing embers at the small pokémon, though they fortunately missed his trainer's head entirely. Instead they struck Mew.

Smoochum was enjoying the ride on top of Lindsey's head, and after Slugma had accidentally attacked Mew, she slipped down in front of Lindsey's face, hanging onto the top of her head with her arms, and having her legs pushing against her face so she could look straight at this funny-looking girl.

"Yeek!" Lindsey screeched as the smoochum dropped in front of her face. Grabbing the small pokémon, she tore it away from her face and held it out in front of her.

Gasping and eyeing the smoochum, which appeared extremely amused with itself, uncertainly, she waited until she had calmed down a bit before asking, "Geez, why'd you have to go and jump me like that?"

*Mew looked outraged the Slugma attacked her for no reason. She dived down, using quick attack.*

"Smoochum Smoo, Smoochum!" (Because it looked fun! And because you look, so, funny!) She laughed hysterically after drawing out the last part of her answer.
