Deciding to skip the rest of Flare Town, Hiroshi and Tristianna left the town and entered Route 1 right away. Tri's Vulpix was steadily trotting along with the pair, ready for what was to come. Tristi turned to Hiroshi and said, "What do you say we look for a Pokemon or two while we're here?"

Faint squeaks could be heard nearby in a bush, where a male Rattata and a female Sentret were duking it out for some unknown reason. An apple was nearby, maybe they were fighting over that? The battle hadn't begun yet though, each of them Leering the other down, tensed with adrenaline.
(Any kind of basic Normal or Flying types are allowed right? If not, let it be the Sentret a female Rattata.)

Sensing something nearby, Tristianna turned her head to the right, seeing a group of lush, green bushes. She jogged over to them, swiftly walking right through one of them and coming upon the Sentret and Rattata.
Her eyes widened as she exclaimed, "Oh! Alright!" She then realized how they were in the early stages of a fight, apparently over an apple. Tristi quickly turned her head between each Pokemon, and wanting to prevent the battle, she transformed into a Bayleef in a flash.
"Hang on guys, I'll take care of this." She released her vines, both of them grabbing the apple, which was soon equally divided in two halves. She extended her vines to each of the Pokemon, giving both of them one half of the apple. Sentret's Leer ended as she saw Tristi dangling the half apple in front of her. She cocked her head to one side before happily taking the piece of fruit from Tristi.
As she began eating, she saw Rattata just finished eating his apple. He waved and shrilled, "Ratta Tat Tat Rattatat!" as a thanks to Tristi before scampering off into the woods behind him. Tristi regained her human form in time to get a last glimpse of Rattata before he was gone.
"Oh well, since he's gone I guess I'll go for..", she spinned her body around to face Sentret as she finished, "..you!" At that time Vulpix leapt through the bush, taking her place in between Trisit and Sentret, ready for battle. Sentret perked her ears up and looked up at Tristi before slightly scowling at getting down on all fours to prepare herself.
"Alright Vulpix! Let's start this off with Ember!"
(Yep, all kinds of common, basic Normal and Flying Pokemon are here, like Doduo, Hoothoot, Sentret, Zigzagoon, etc..)

As Vulpix released the flurry of flames, Sentret hopped off of her feet into the air, dodging the attack, but also leaving herself open.
"Hurry Vulpix, Quick Attack!" Vulpix sped forward, and with the high boost of speed she rocketed straight into the air, heading right for Sentret. A moment later she crashed into the Normal type, sending her falling to the ground with a loud 'thud'. Vulpix landed on the ground soon after, keeping her eyes on Sentret.

Huh? Why did the human, or Bayleef, give her some food then attack her? Well, that hurt, and she wasn't going to back down easily. Growling mildly (not an attack), it soon started to zig zag around in a Quick Attack, getting near Vulpix before stopping abruptly for furious swiping, AKA Fury Swipe.
(Interesting fact: In the game, your Vulpix is level 25, and Hiroshi's Eevee is level 30. xD)

Vulpix took the attack head on, being knocked back a few feet but recovering quickly. "Imprison!" Vulpix's eyes glowed as she prevented Sentret from using any of her own moves, including Quick Attack. Tristi continued, "Alright, now Will-O-Wisp!" Vulpix conjured up a blue flare as she blew it out of her mouth, aiming straight for Sentret and engulfing her in its fire for a moment before the Scout Pokemon was inflicted with a burn.
(IIRC, that's what Imprison does, and since I've only seen Imprison on the game where a giant X falls on the opponent, I made something up for a real battle. What game are you talking about?)

Fortunately for the Sentret, Imprison had only worked for Quick Attack, as it was the only move that they both had in common. It winced as the burn stung her; a couple more hits and she was out of the game. Sentret was wary with the Vulpix's movements, before circling around it, getting closer. As soon as the fox was in range, Sentret reached out for a Scratch and, with a powerful burst of speed from its tail, jumped towards it for a Slam attack.
(Ya know... The GBA game.)

"Vulpix use Quick Attack to dodge it!" Just in time Vulpix moved to the left, causing Sentret to ram into the ground once more. "Now use Confuse Ray!" Vulpix concentrated, then widened her eyes howling, "Vuul..PIX!" The wave of energy swept over Sentret, effecting her mind and making her confused.
(I see..but I still don't get why you said my Vulpix is at level 25 and Eevee's at 30...?)

(The moves you have go up to level 25. Check out Serebii.net's PokeDex)
The scout Pokemon was already exhausted, and ramming it's head to the ground didn't help much. It struggled to get up, but sat back down as swirls appeared in it's eyes by Vulpix's Confuse Ray. Now would be a good time to catch it.

(Ohhh, well I just picked a few of the moves each of those Pokemon have as their learnable moves by level and such - interesting how it works out like though.=3)
"Yes! Good job Vulpix! Let's try to catch 'em now!" Tristi clicked an empty Pokeball off of her belt, and threw it towards the confused Sentret. The Normal type disappeared into the balled in a flash of red light. The ball fell to the ground and shook three times before the red light in the center diminished. "Vul Vulpix!" Vulpix happily yelped.
Sentret Gender: Female Ability: Keen Eye Moves: Scratch Defense Curl Quick Attack Fury Swipes Helping Hand Slam
Tristi retrieved the Pokeball holding her newly aquired Sentret, and soon she and Vulpix were dashing through the bush back to where Hiroshi was.

"What happened with the wildpokemon?" He asked. "Did you catch them?"

"Yeah! I got a Sentret!" She held up her ball for Hiroshi to see, while a rustling was heard from an overhead tree. A few loud sqwaks were heard, and soon after, a Hoothoot fell from the tree and crashed into the ground. A moment later, a Taillow emerged from the leaves of the tree and perched himself upon a branch, looking down at Hiroshi and Tristi, as well as the Hoothoot lying on the ground. Apparently the Taillow owned this tree, and he was angry at Hoothoot for tresspassing so he shoved him out. Tristi rushed over to the Hoothoot to see if he was ok, picking him up and helping him to stand. She quickly asked, "Are you ok?" Hoothoot shook his head a few times, but soon looked up at Tristi and replied, "Hoot, hoot." Tri smiled and said, "That's good!"

"When did you learn to speak pokemon-ese...?"Hiroshi asked, confused.

"Oh, I can understand Pokemon because I'm a Pokemorph." Tristi replied, standing back up. She then looked up into the tree where Taillow was sitting on the same branch he has shoved Hoothoot of off, cleaning his feathers. Tristianna turned back to Hiroshi and said, "You want to battle that Taillow?"

"Sure. Why not? Let's go Eevee!"
He released his Eevee, who was eager to fight.
"Eevee! Sand attack!" He ordered. Caught by surprize and blinded from the sand, the Taillow fell out of the tree, stunned.
"Eevee, now use tackle!" He ordered. The pokemon quickly complied, knocking the bird backwards.
