Taillow might've been hurt, but he was far from done. Now angry, he fiercely flew forward, his wings starting to glow. In a flash he struck hard down on Eevee with a Wing Attack. Eevee slid past the ground, causing dust to rise.
"Ooh, this is going to be a good match." Tristi said, eyes fixed on the Pokemon.
"Hoothoot Hoo.." Hoothoot added. It seemed that Hoothoot had forgotten about how Taillow kicked him out of the tree earlier. Either that or he forgave him.

Eevee shook off the attack and upon hearing it's master order to use tackle it charged at the Taillow, colliding with it and pinning it to the ground.

Taillow struggled to get out from under Eevee's pressing paws, but to no avail. He pushed and squirmed nonetheless, however, determined to escape. In between his rash movements, the Normal/Flying type disappeared for a moment, and reappeared in the sky above Eevee. Using Quick Attack he was able to use the boost in speed to get away from his foe. Being pinned down took its toll on him, though; Taillow was starting to feel tired. Now that he was free, he dove down, aiming at Eevee with an offensive Quick Attack from above.

Eevee was hit hard, but quickly recovered from the blow.
"Eevee, lets lower it's accuracy. Sand attack!"
Eevee did as it was commanded, and the sand blew right into Taillow's eyes.

Taillow cried out in pain and the sand harshly stung his eyes. Unable to see he crashed into the ground, and it didn't look like he was getting up...

As soon as he saw the pokemon fall, Hiroshi acted on instinct and threw a pokeball at the fallen bird.

The Pokeball shook several times, showing Taillow still had some fight left in him. After many tense moments, however, the ball stopped shaking and the red light in the center vanished.

"Woohoo! Way to go Hiroshi!" Anna cheered after the capture was made. Hoothoot chimed in, "Hoothoot hoo!" (Maybe now he'll be nicer!)

He walked over to the point of the previous battle and picked up the pokeball. "Yes!" He muttered, proud of his accomplishment, then walked back to Anna.
"Well we'd better keep moving. It will be dark in a few hours and we should try to get to the ruins ahead before then so we can set up camp."

"Yeah! Let's go." They were about to walk on, when the Hoothoot started flapping his wings and hooting loudly as to get their attention. Anna turned around to see what he wanted, and he hopped up to her.
"What's up, little guy?"
Hoothoot then looked up to her, his eyes looking a little watery for some reason. Anna picked him up and after she stood straight up Hoothoot buried his head in her shirt. Anna heard a muffled, "Hoothoot! Hoothoot!" (I don't want to leave you! You were really nice to me!)
Anna replied, "Oh, how nice. Don't worry, you can come along!"
Hoothoot then looked up at her, his eyes by now crying, but crying tears of happiness. "Hoothoot!" (Thank you!)
Anna just smiled at him as she turned around to continue on with Hiroshi.
(I'm going to close this thread now, and make a new one at the Kodai Ruins.)
