The Search Continued

Stamifrah sat down on a rock near the river, tired after a rather fast run. Usually he'd run much faster without tiring at all, but apparently the Parasect felt like chasing him, causing him to run around Route 7 and Moonwind River a few times. For some reason the bug Pokemon was rather fast. The meeting with Zershia really had helped 'brighten' his life a bit.

"Now... Vileplume... But I need... More rest..."

He hung his robe over the rock, showing his leather sleeveless shirt as he sat back down to look at the surroundings.

(-raises eyebrow- How could a Primeape show up in a place where only Grass and Water type Pokemon live? Also, Route 6 is on the OTHER side of the Bluemoon Mountains. No wonder Stamifrah's so tired. =P)

A curious little Marill was running down the bank of the river, and stopped abruptly after noticing a rather oblong figure on a rock. Wandering over, she ed her head to one side in bewilderment, momentarily poking Stamifrah's face, before darting off again to wherever she was headed.

What was a Marill doing so close to his face? Stamifrah had stared into the bold water Pokemon's eye before blinking at it's pokes and glaring at it's back as it left.

"I suppose that's over with." He stood up and looked up at the sky before putting his robe back on. "Now, for that Vileplume."

An Oddish was nearby, happily sticking his nose in every flower he could find and smelling the refreshing fragrance. His mother, a Vileplume, was somewhat quickly following her baby to make sure he got in no trouble seeing as how he was quite young..

Hearing some rustles in the background, Stamifrah turned and spotted the Vileplume, along with its son. This will prove to be a pickle. He needed the Vileplume's toxins for him to complete his plan. He didn't want to die trying either. Grabbing a Pokeball from a pouch he had, he flicked it to the ground as Gluttony appeared again, apparently happy that he was released so many times.

"I'll need you to get some toxins from Vileplume's Toxic attack, but only the ones that it uses to paralyze its food before it eats it."

Stamifrah handed another bottle to the euphoric Gengar as it vanished into thin air. Moments later, it reappeared near Vileplume as a rather plump Butterfree, with one of it's dangling legs being a bottle. The man sweatdropped as the Gengar muttered 'Gengree' to attract the flower Pokemon's attention.

"Vile?" Vileplume uttered as she turned her head to where the cry had come from. Upon seeing the Butterfree, she felt slightly confused by it's rather unusal appearance, and making sure to keep her baby safe, she held her ground, the little Oddish half-hiding and half-peeking from behind his mother.

Gluttony continued to hover around the two grass Pokemon, and I meant he actually hovered, the wings weren't even flapping. One of Gengar's hind legs which was holding the bottle someway or another was stuck out rather obviously.

A small sweatdrop appeared on Vileplume's brow, and she quietly whispered something to her child. The Oddish obeyed and jumped onto the top of his mother's head, while Vileplume started inching backwards, and after a while she turned around, trying to see if this, peculiar Butterfree was a threat or not.

The ghost Pokemon was getting impatient. Why wouldn't the Vileplume attempt to eat it. He held his chin thinking before disappearing before reappearing in a Beedrill suit. Seeing no reaction, he disappeared and again came forth, this time as Venonat.

"Oh, lord..." Stamifrah muttered as the costume switching went on.

Now Vileplume was quite confused. This constant disappearing of Pokemon and reappearing of a new one was much too wierd for her tastes. She decided not to go near the Pokemon, but to keep walking away, wanting to leave this peculiar Pokemon by himself.

Gluttony was getting frustrated. His newest costume was one of Duskull, which everyone knew Vileplume didn't eat. Didn't seem like the Gengar knew though. Noticing that it was getting away, it gave a 'Genkull!' before flying over to it and jabbing the hole on top of the Vileplume with the bottle.

The little Oddish was able to jump out of the way just in time as Vileplume cried in surprise. "Vile!" Defending herself, she immediately fired a Solar Beam out of the flower on her head, nailing the bottle squarely and shattering it.

A vein on Stamifrah's head twitched as Gluttony stared at the broken piece of the bottle in his hand, poking the sharp ends as a scream of 'Gengaaaar!!' was heard throughout the place when he got hurt.

"Darn that Gengar... Forget it, Gluttony, here's another bottle, during the Toxic attack just catch some and let's get out of here."

The man tossed the bottle towards the rather hurt Gengar which was currently rather absentmindedly sucking its thumb. He held the bottle in a sort of, target practice way, provoking the Vileplume with Astonish as it waited (his Astonish was screaming loudly in the grass Pokemon's ears while holding out his hurt digit).

"Vileplume Vile!!" The Grass Pokemon cried as she desperately covered her ears to block the uproarious yelling. She then fired a Toxic attack combined with Petal Dance..

They had only really needed the toxins, but when Gluttony turned to look at Stamifrah, he nodded. The Gengar went on and got most of the Toxic attack into the bottle, along with a few petals. It thanked the bewildered Vileplume before returning itself after giving the bottle to Stamifrah.

"We're done here. Time to finish the job." He muttered, before running away from the grass Pokemon.
