History: Shina was raised in the Ninja Training School in Fuchsia city all her life, and was taught how to fight with many different kinds of weapons. However, she was always looked down upon for discarding her teachers in the art of choosing pokemon. Rather than use the poison pokemon traditionally favored by the Ninjas, she chose to use dark and psychic types. Over time she left the training school to hone her skills, and became a powerful fighter and trainer. Eventually, she was invited into the elite four.
Beliefs: While growing up in the Ninja School, she gained a mastery of combat, but also saw many pokemon suffer due to careless decisions by their trainers. Over time, she began to believe that if a trainer can order a pokemon to enter combat, and possibly take great injury, a trainer should be able to do so them self. This is why Shina is often seen fighting with her pokemon. She has entered a battle more than once and fought against impossible opponents only to beat the odds and come out victorious. She hopes that more trainers will begin to see her point of view, but for now she is the only one to have ever fought in an official match against a pokemon.
Personality: Shina can be quiet at times, and takes a formal approach to everything. She is brave, and is not afraid to be injured in battle. She is stubborn, and refuses to quit once she starting anything. She is loyal, but does not follow anyone blindly. While she speaks she never raises her voice, and talks in a gentle and quiet tone that somehow sounds threatening, making people uncomfortable around her. She has few friends other than her beloved pokemon.
Strengths: Her attacks focus mostly on speed and frequency, rather than strength. Her accuracy is legendary.
Weaknesses: While attacks are more likely to miss than hit her, her defense itself is sadly lacking. Her attacks may be frequent, but they are weak, nonetheless.
Pokemon: Her Umbreon can be seen with her where ever she goes. She uses dark type pokemon such as Houndoom, Absol, Sneasel, and Mightyena. She has also used many TM's on her pokemon, giving them a large variety of moves.
Weapons: Shina uses a special dual-bladed sword that was passed down through her family. The sword's element can change based upon what crystal has been put into the hilt. The sword is thin and light like a Japanese sword, and the folding of the metal has made it invincible to most attacks. It is resistant to many elements. She also posseses throwing knives that she herself designed and had a blacksmith produce for her.
Robes: Shina wears her family's one-of-a-kind robes into combat. They are resistant to many elemental attacks and all but the strongest of psychics. However, psychic attacks aren't reccomended against her, or your pokemon may be in for a nasty surprize...
Location: Shina is often wandering from town to town in the Motan region. She generally stays at dojo's or sets up a camp outside during her travels. Where she calls home is anyone's guess.
