I ran into professor dogwood's lab as excited as can be! I knew what I wanted...I wanted to get a gastly. I stooped and wondered if I could even get one. Then I sighed. "What if they don't have a gastly." i said outloud and tried to think of another pokemon.

Professor Dogwood, who was sitting behind a desk in the lobby, looked up as he heard a voice. He stood up and briskly walked over to the boy. With a smile on his face, he said, "Well, hello! Who might you be?"

"Huh? Oh Hi...I'm Rio. I'm ready to become a trainer so I wanted to get a starting pokemon and I was wondering if I could get a gastly...." I said .

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Rio. And of course you can have a Ghastly! I'll be back in just a minute." Professor turned around and disappeared into the back room, reappearing a few moments later with a Pokeball in his hand. He made a brief stop at a desk, placing a device in his free hand, and walked up to Rio.
"Here you are; your Ghastly, and a Pokedex." He placed them both in Rio's hands.

Professor Dogwood reached into one of his lab coat pockets, and pulled out five Pokeballs, also handing those to Rio. "I wish you well on your journey." He said with a warm smile spread upon his face.
