Kiran, Cap, and Kegan are triplets. Cap is the oldest- by a few minutes, then Kegan, then Kiran. All three got their first pokemon when they turned ten- Cap started with Wingul, Kegan got Growlithe, and Kiran picked Electrike. They spilt up after getting their pokemon- prefering to travel alone then stay with each other. Cap took on the Hoenn league, while Kegan choose to start his journey in Kanto, and Kiran in Jhoto. It was five years before the brothers decided to meet up again. During that time they’d all become elite trainers- each one choosing one type to focus on. During their reunion, the boys talked about catching legendary pokemon to complete their teams. All three agreed that the trio of bird pokemon were by far the coolest- so after talking a bit they each decided to go after one of the legendary birds. You can guess who went after who..
Kiran found Zapdos very easily- it was in an abandoned lab just a few miles from where they lived. His electric pokemon had sensed the legendary bird’s presence and were drawn to it. When they found Zapdos it was very weak and had a dislocated wing so it couldn’t fly. Instead of taking advantage of this, as most trainers would have done, Kiran didn’t try to catch Zapdos.. He helped it. Staying with Zapdos for several days he healed the great pokemon and fixed it’s wing. His electric pokemon helped restore Zapdos’s energy till it was back in top condition. Kiran then knew he couldn’t catch Zapdos. It was his friend now, and he just couldn’t take away the legendary’s freedom. Zapdos thanked Kiran in the best way it could, by giving him some of it’s very essence. By doing this, the bird pokemon made Kiran part Zapdos himself. He became a lot like Zapdos, gaining his feathered hair and hawk-like features. He was also able to use some electric attacks as a human. But the greatest gift was that he could become a Zapdos himself. Kiran loves this ability, and is found mostly in his Zapdos form. About the only time he enters his human form is when he has to enter a town and doesn’t want any trainers trying to catch him.
Cap tracked the great Articuno to the snowy mountains in Jhoto. After waiting for several days he finally faced Articuno, and after a long battle the only pokemon Cap had left was his Swablu. He had his Swablu sing Articuno to sleep- but Cap fell asleep along with it.. Hours later he found himself at a pokecenter in a town a couple miles away. Nurse Joy had been opening up the pokecenter that morning when she found him sleeping on a couch in the front room.. How he got there was a complete mystery, since all the doors and windows were still locked and there was no sign of a forced entry.. Later Cap would remember seeing a pair of sad red eyes in his dreams.. And just to make the whole thing even weirder, the next time Cap looked at his reflection he noticed he had changed- physically. Instead of being a short, stocky, brown haired, tanned skin youth- he was now a tall, lanky, blue haired, pale skinned stranger.. A few days after he’d gotten used to his new body, he got attacked by a wild pokemon and instinctively transformed into an Articuno! Cap realized that during his battle with Articuno, it must have done something to him while he slept- and now.. He was an Articuno Morph. Since then, Cap’s had over a year to get used to his Articuno form, and has just about mastered all of his attacks. He enjoys being in his Articuno form, but enters it only when no one can see. He want to keep being a pokemorph a secret. He has also taken the position of gym leader in Sonic City.
Kegan found Moltres at Mt. Chimney in Hoenn. When he challenged the fiery bird to a battle they were interrupted by Team Magma. Magma had heard rumors that the legendary pokemon Moltres had been recently seen near the volcano and had come to see if the rumors were true. Now that they’d found Moltres- they weren’t going to let it escape. Using some of their many gadgets, the Magma’s caught Moltres in a strong fireproof net and weakened it with several massive electric shocks. Unfortunately, Kegan had been trapped in the net as well. The shocks that were enough to weaken Moltres till if couldn’t fight back at all nearly killed the 15 year old boy. Of course the magma’s couldn’t have cared less if he died or not- and probably would’ve preferred him dead so they wouldn’t have to deal with him.. Taking Kegan and Moltres back to their base, the magmas threw them both in the same cage. No one wanted to get close enough to the Moltres to remove Kegan, so they left him alone. The cage the two were in was fire proof, and also had an energy shield around it so Moltres couldn’t attack the magmas on watch. Luckly for Kegan, Moltres didn’t think he was threat while he was unconscious, so the bird mostly left him alone. However, the second he woke up Moltres turned and attacked him with a Fire Spin! At first Kegan was terrified and thought he was gonna die, but then he realized the flames weren’t hurting him.. They were healing him! He was slowly recovering as the Moltres’s fire attack swirled around him. Looking at the Moltres thankfully, Kegan noticed it was eying him with apprehensiveness from the other side of the cage. Now fully healed, Kegan turned and pushed himself to his feet using his wings. Wait.. Wings?! Kegan released a shriek as he opened his new wings and stared at them in horror. He was a Moltres. It was then that the Moltres spoke to Kegan,'Shut up will you? The guards are asleep- and need to stay that way if you want to escape at all.' Of course that just freaked Kegan out even more.. Even so he got under control eventually, and combining their powers they were able to escape. Once they were out Moltres left Kegan without an explanation or anything regarding how he turned into a pokemon. After spending about a week trapped as a Moltres Kegan finally was able to change back into a human. Kegan only goes into his Moltres form when he’s really desperate, fearing that if he goes into it too much he’ll become permanently trapped. His body didn’t change when he became a morph- other then the fact his eyes glow red now..
