Finally putting her pokédex away and concentrating on where she was going (for once), Lindsey bypassed the quaint houses lying on the outskirts of town near the lab, passing up small shops and the enticing smells drifting from restaurants, reminding herself that lunch was all too far away.
Though the town was hushed and sleepy this early on a Saturday, Lindsey soon began to share the street with numerous people. Though many of them were locals toting empty shopping baskets, there were a few less tame individuals present as well. The occasional weatherbeaten, grim-faced and liberally scarred young man or woman could be seen stalking along the street as well, and pokémon trainers from all walks of life could soon be seen to dot the crowd as well.
The throng was all converging on Flare Town's square and its famous market. Despite the early hour the place was already seething with activity. Lindsey was jostled and shoved on occasion, trying to wade through the crowd and get a peek at the venues of the numerous tables that had been set up by vendors of all descriptions.
Though she was interested most in generic healing items to stock up with before heading out onto a route and which she hoped to be able to find at a discount here, Lindsey knew that she would be hard-pressed not to spend a substantial bit of her money on the exotic wares that the stalls here boasted. Craning her neck, she tried to get a glimpse of what was for sale.
